I am a counsellor based on the Herefordshire/Worcestershire borders. My background has been in working in mental health services for over 30 years. This led to a desire to help people to explore their thoughts and feelings and find their own creative ways forward with their lives. I believe therapy should be an empowering process.
I bring together my background in social work and counseling training to provide an “integrative” approach, this means guided by your needs and goals for the future. I can explain a bit more about what integrative means when we meet.
I have also worked for 16 years with a teacher from the US specialising in dream and energetic work. This informs my interest in exploring the transpersonal experiences of clients based on their dreams and spiritual beliefs. I believe that each of us has the capacity to find a wildness and freedom in our hearts and a path to greater fulfillment. My own passion and wildness of heart is found with my love of all things Equus and exploring the beautiful places here and overseas.
I work with people of all backgrounds (age 16 onwards), sometimes people who have experienced a loss or bereavement or a major change in their life situation. It may be you are experiencing a sense of isolation and anxiety, perhaps stuck in an emotional state or situation that no longer works for you.
I am registered with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists and work in accordance to the code of ethics.
